Shed fire in Finley mobile home park quickly extinguished

Share

VIDEO: Firefighters put out a small shed fire in a Finley mobile home park Tuesday afternoon after the blaze spread to a tree. Benton County Fire District One responded to the scene off Bowles Road around 2 p.m., where crews found a person attempting to put out the burning shed with a garden hose. Firefighters knocked down the flames before it could spread to other buildings.

Fire crews were able to put out the blaze quickly, preventing further damage to the property. The person using the hose to fight the blaze inhaled smoke but rejected medical treatment. “It’s really important to pay attention to burn days. I don’t think any burns were involved with this, but we’re getting some sporadic spring weather, and you don’t know necessarily if the wind is going to pick up,” said Jenna Roberts, PIO with Benton County Fire District One. The cause of the fire remains unknown. The fire district said it does not plan to investigate the incident further.
