Fire crews battled a fire at a battery-recycling plant Tuesday night, according to the Bartlesville Fire Department.

Crews were called to Blue Whale Materials, located at 1560 Industrial Boulevard, at 9:20 p.m. When they arrived, they found pallets of lithium-ion batteries on fire.

Crews from Dewey, Ochelata, and Washington County Emergency Management worked to shuttle over water while firefighters worked on containing the fire and cooling nearby batteries to stop the fire from spreading.
