Boston firefighter hospitalized after battling 2-alarm Hyde Park fire

BOSTON — A Boston firefighter is still in the hospital after responding to a two-alarm blaze in Hyde Park Saturday night.

Boston Fire responded to a report of flames on the roof of the Westinghouse Plaza around 8 p.m.

As the fire moved across the roof, firefighters used multiple ladders to get on top of the building to try to control the spread. By about 11 p.m., the fire was under control and firefighters were monitoring for hotspots.

One firefighter who was transported by Boston EMS is still in the hospital, according to the department.
