PHOTOS: Residents were evacuated from an apartment building after it caught on fire Tuesday evening.

Courtney Samuel, a spokesperson for Unified Fire Authority, said they received a call about the flames on 4434 South Lemans Drive at approximately 5:30 p.m.

When crews arrived, they saw smoke coming from a second-story window. They “quickly took offense,” Samuel said, and searched the building.

As of 6 p.m., the fire was under control and the cause under investigation. No injuries were reported, but six units were displaced. Bailey Glass, a resident, said crews “got it contained pretty quick.”
