VIDEO: A woman has been arrested after a body was found with a gunshot wound inside a car that caught fire on a Glendale freeway late Tuesday night. The Arizona Department of Public Safety has identified the suspect as 23-year-old Tana’Sa Chambers.
DPS troopers responded to a car fire around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the westbound lanes of the Loop 101 Agua Fria freeway north of Union Hills Road.
“In this case, we responded to what we thought was a car fire that turned out to be a homicide,” DPS Sgt. Kameron Lee said. DPS said that person was found dead with a gunshot wound in the front passenger seat after the fire was extinguished.
“When we arrived, Glendale Fire was extinguishing the fire, and then once it was extinguished, we approached the vehicle just to make sure no one was there. At that point, we were able to see a victim in the passenger seat,” Sgt. Lee explained.
