Stellantis Recalling 178,000 Mini Vans in US Over Side-Curtain Airbag Issue

Share

Stellantis will recall 178,246 mini vans in the U.S. over improperly sealed side curtain airbags, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Tuesday.

Here are some details:

  • The recall includes certain Pacifica and Voyager mini vans, according to the NHTSA.
  • The right and left side-curtain airbags may deflate too quickly during a crash, increasing the risk of passenger ejection and injury, NHTSA said.
  • NHTSA said the vehicles’ dealers will replace the side-curtain airbags.
