Ocala Fire Rescue crews freed a driver from a pickup truck after it collided with a tree Wednesday afternoon and took the driver to the hospital. The impact of the crash on East Fort King Street pinned the driver between the dashboard and their seat. Firefighters worked to remove the driver’s side doors while medics began treatment. They eventually freed the driver and took them to the hospital as a trauma alert.
