Share

Jackson firefighters responded Sunday to a fire on Iris Avenue. The house fire was reported at about 11:30 a.m. at 257 Iris Avenue.

When crews arrived at the scene, they saw smoke and flames coming from the structure and began working to bring the fire under control. After the fire was extinguished, firefighters were initially unable to determine the origin and cause, prompting a request for a fire investigator.

Following an investigation, officials determined the fire was accidental and electrical in nature. No injuries were reported in connection with the fire.
