Jackson County Fire Protection announces passing of firefighter

The Jackson County Fire Protection team is announcing the passing of Kevin “KD” Daugherty.

The team describing him as a public servant protecting the citizens of Jackson County, Daugherty joined the team in June 2022. In the role, he contributed his skills as both a part-time and full-time firefighter.

He joined the fire service in 2006 with the Pascagoula Fire Department, recently retiring as a full-time lieutenant and EMT.

The Jackson County Fire Protection team saying outside of the fire department, Daugherty was a devoted husband, loving father and loyal friend to many.
They add his leadership, warmth and brotherhood will be missed by all who had the chance to know him and serve alongside him.
