Share

A woman was rescued by the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) and treated by the Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS) after apparently falling on a trail in Honolulu on Christmas Day. First responders received a call at 10:08 a.m. and responded to an injured hiker on the Koko Head Crater Trail. Crews arrived at the scene by 10:18 a.m. and started to ascend the trail on foot.

It was reported that a woman in her 40s received an injury and wasn’t able to make it down the trail on her own. Once they got to her location HFD provided her with basic life support. She was then hoisted onto the aircraft and taken to a landing zone where her care was transferred to EMS at 11:12 a.m. EMS reported that as a result of the hiker falling, she suffered from an ankle and leg injury. She was taken to an emergency room in stable condition.
