BALTIMORE — Four Baltimore City firefighters suffered minor injuries while riding in a fire truck that slid on ice and struck another vehicle Sunday night, according to Baltimore City Fire officials.
The crash occurred around 11:35 p.m., when a fire truck was responding to a one-alarm fire, said department spokesperson John Marsh.

Marsh said the fire truck was at Chesapeake and Maude avenues in South Baltimore’s Brooklyn neighborhood when the truck slid and struck a parked box truck.
All four firefighters were evaluated for minor injuries and transported to hospitals as a precaution, Marsh said, noting that all firefighters have since been discharged.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Poor road conditions also caused a 15-car crash at Baltimore’s 29th Street overpass near the Jones Falls Expressway on Sunday evening.
