Alachua County Fire Rescue officials are reminding residents about the ongoing burn ban after a two-acre brushfire turned into a 20-acre fire.
Officials said the fire threatened about half a dozen buildings in the northeast part of Alachua County, a little after 3 p.m. on Monday.
Forestry personnel contained the fire by using three bulldozers to plow a line around the perimeter. No buildings were lost, and nobody was hurt.
