Share

Crews continued to battle the Railroad Fire in Clay and Putnam counties in Florida on Thursday. Clay County Fire Rescue reported that the fire is 65% contained and still 4,406 acres. The majority of the active fire is on the southern end. It is safe for those who evacuated Sunday from Varney Road and Woodard Lane to return. There are no new voluntary evacuations in place. Officials ask those affected residents to monitor their homes when they return.

The Call Center will continue taking questions about this fire through Friday. Donation collections will close at 7:00 at the Fairgrounds. No roads in Clay County are closed due to the fire.
