Crews with Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a brush fire in the area of 26 North 60 East in La Verkin just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday. While they were on their way, they received additional information that structures were involved, which upgraded the incident response.

Crews quickly extinguished the flames. In total, five structures burned across 1/3 of an acre, including outbuildings, chicken coops, and storage sheds. No injuries were reported, and the fire department reminded the public that the open burn season closed on March 31.
