Brian Deephouse, vice president and chief actuary at Auto Club Enterprises, was elected chair of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s board of directors and Dawn Lee, chief product and underwriting officer at PEMCO Mutual Insurance Company, will continue as chair of the Highway Loss Data Institute’s board.
Both appointments are for 2026. Deephouse takes over as IIHS chair from Ginger Purgatorio, an executive vice president at Allstate. Lee remains in the HLDI chair after first assuming the position in July.
Other IIHS board leaders are: Daniel Halsey, president of personal lines, The Hanover Insurance Group, is chair elect; and Andrew Woods, chief analytics officer of personal lines and distribution, Farmers Insurance Group, is vice chair.
