Fire breaks out in Tooele apartment unit, tenants escape safely

A fire broke out at an apartment complex in Tooele on Thursday evening. According to the Tooele City Fire Department, the fire broke out at the Landmark Apartments just after 7 p.m. Upon arrival, crews observed smoke and flames coming from the front door of a unit.

The kitchen was on fire, and the flames were spreading throughout the unit. The fire was quickly extinguished. After the incident, it was found that the apartment tenants escaped the unit by using a ladder through the back bedroom window. No injuries were reported.
