Firefighters responded to reports of a hazmat spill near the port of Los Angeles in Wilmington Thursday morning. Crews responded to the 1500 block of Anchorage Road near N. Henry Ford Avenue at around 4:30 a.m.

Images from NewsChopper4 showed a dark liquid that appeared to be oil on the ground. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, about 30 personal resources were assisting with the spill, which did not affect any waterways. The spill was identified as a water pipe that was broken on an oil field property. No evacuations were issued, LAFD said.
