Honolulu firefighters worked over to put out a fire at a high-rise condominium in Makaha on Friday morning.
The Honolulu Fire Department received a 911 call about a building fire at 84-740 Kili Dr. in Makaha at 9:12 a.m. on Friday. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they saw smoke from the 16th floor of a the condo.
Firefighters conducted an offensive fire attack and made sure the fire did not spread to nearby units. They searched the area to confirm that no one was inside.
The fire was under control at 9:43 a.m. and it was fully extinguished by 10:08 a.m. There were no injuries reported from the scene.
Fire investigators returned to the condo on Saturday to look into the origin of the fire as well as the cause. Damage estimates will be provided once the investigation is complete.
