A lightning strike caused a house fire in Walthall County during the severe storms on Wednesday.
This according to Walthall County Sheriff Kyle Breland, who said the local fire department confirmed the cause. The home is located off Union Avenue.
On Thursday, Sheriff Breland also reported minor damage in the southern portion of the county. No injuries were reported.
