Region: Driver airlifted to St. George hospital after being trapped by burning vehicle in Scenic

PHOTOS: One person was airlifted to the hospital after being trapped by a burning vehicle in Scenic, Arizona, according to the Beaver Dam/Littlefield Fire Department.

Early Wednesday morning, April 29, fire crews responded to a report of a vehicle rollover in Scenic. It was reported that the car had caught on fire and that the driver was trapped between the vehicle and fence.

Beaver Dam Fire Rescue personnel arrived on scene to find the individual sitting outside the burning vehicle after they had reportedly been pulled to safety by bystanders. Crews quickly knocked down the fire and EMS personnel evaluated the driver.

Due to the severity of their injuries, they were flown to St. George Regional Hospital. Law enforcement is conducting an investigation into this incident. No further information is available at this time.
