PHOTOS: Two people had to be extricated from a flipped SUV and sent to the hospital with minor injuries after a crash involving another car occurred in Tigard Thursday morning.

Southwest Durham Road was closed for about an hour after the crash happened at about 11:15 a.m. near Southwest 103rd Avenue, Tigard police said. The driver of the SUV rear-ended a red car and crashed into a light pole before turning on its side, leaving the two occupants of the SUV trapped inside, police say.

Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue responded and extricated the two people from the SUV. They had reportedly minor injuries and were sent to the hospital. The driver of the red car wasn’t hurt. The cause of the crash is still being determined, Tigard police said.
