1 killed after car crashes into tree in Scottsdale

VIDEO: One person has died after their car crashed into a tree in Scottsdale Wednesday. Officers were called to the area of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Cactus shortly before 2:30 p.m. for reports of a car that had crashed into a tree, according to Scottsdale police.

The investigation into the crash revealed a car had sideswiped another car in the area of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Sweetwater Avenue, causing one of the cars to hit a tree.

Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard was closed between Cactus Road and Sweetwater Avenue as police investigated. It has since reopened. The driver of the car that crashed into the tree died from injuries caused by the crash.
